Spring has officially arrived in the Valley, which means one thing…
The Eggstravaganza Event is back - and if you’ve played this before, you already know how chaotic (and slightly addictive) egg hunting can get. If you’re new? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
📅 Event Dates - Don’t Miss This Window
The Eggstravaganza event runs from April 1 to April 21.
So you’ve got a solid three weeks to collect all the eggs you need, complete duties, and craft all the seasonal items before the eggs disappear again.

And trust me - you will want to stay on top of this one. It sneaks up fast if you leave it too late. With so many items requiring event-only eggs (and 7 new craftables this year), pacing yourself early makes a big difference.
This is where things get interesting - because not all eggs are created equal. You’ll be collecting multiple different egg types, each found in completely different ways:
🌿 1. Egg-cellent Fruit (Pink Egg)
- Found on Egg Fruit bushes in the Plaza.
- 3 bushes appear at the start of the event.
- Each bush provides 3 eggs, spawning every 60 minutes.

These are your “easy” eggs - just remember to check in regularly.

🌼 2. Wild Spring Egg (Blue Egg)
- Spawn across all 8 biomes in Dreamlight Valley.
- 5 eggs spawn every 30 minutes.
- A maximum of 10 eggs can spawn at once across all biomes.

These are the ones you’ll casually pick up while doing everything else.
Tip: If you have the Ancient Vacuum from Eternity Isle, this makes collection significantly faster (mist required).
🌱 3. Spring V-EGG-etable (Yellow Egg)
🌱 3. Spring V-EGG-etable (Yellow Egg)
- First craft a V-EGG-etable Seed and then grow.
- To craft V-EGG-etable Seed you'll need: 1 Egg-cellent Fruit, 1 Wild Spring Egg and 20 Dreamlight.
- Each harvest gives 1 Spring V-EGG-etable
So yes… you’re crafting eggs into seeds… to grow more eggs. Very Dreamlight logic.
Tip: Use a Gardening buddy when harvesting for bonus drops.
- New to the 2026 Event.
Cooking event recipes
Crafting seasonal furniture
- Daily Quest: Blooming and Blossoming - involves crafting a flower basket
- Weekly Quest: Bunnies on the Run - involves catching bunnies in the Plaza
Both reward a mix of eggs across all five types, so they’re well worth doing if you want to speed things up.

💜 4. Purple Spring Egg (Purple Egg)
- Spawn inside select Realms (not the Valley!)
- Realms to find them in: Moana, Toy Story, and WALL·E.

💭 My Quick Take (Because You Know I Have One)
This is honestly one of the better recurring events in Dreamlight Valley. Why?
- It encourages you to explore every part of the game
- It mixes multiple mechanics (farming, fishing, foraging, realms)
- And it actually feels seasonal in a way some events don’t
That said… it can get grindy if you’re trying to complete everything quickly. My advice? Don’t rush it. Build it into your daily routine. I spend about 15 minutes per day collecting all five eggs - and the Ancient Vacuum makes a huge difference when gathering Wild Spring Eggs.
