✨ Crafting Recipes From The Storybook Vale | Part 5

This crafting entry brings together twelve craftable items from the Storybook Vale DLC, continuing the journey through the catalogue with a mix of themed furniture, decorative pieces, and standout build elements.

With the first image above showing the full collection, and the following slides below breaking down the individual recipes, this format makes it easier to plan what you’d like to craft next while keeping track of materials along the way. Noticed anything in common with this set of recipes? They come from completing Tales from the Lorekeeper, unlocking a unique crafting recipe once completed. Join me on this magical crafting journey and explore what each piece can bring to your Valley.

The twelve craftable items featured in this post are:

Agrabah Chair
Broken Teacup
Dump Truck Armchair
Fountain of Thebes
Garden Temple
Giant Leaf Chair
Halloween Town Clock
Lilo’s Bunk Bed
Medieval Wooden Chair
Potted Blooming Tree
The Princess and the Frog Chest
Transportation Table

This is one of those collections where the variety really stands out.

You’ve got pieces that clearly belong to specific themes or worlds - like the Agrabah Chair, Lilo’s Bunk Bed, and The Princess and the Frog Chest - alongside more flexible items such as the Medieval Wooden Chair or Potted Blooming Tree that can slot into a wide range of builds.

Then there are the larger, more defining pieces like the Garden Temple and Fountain of Thebes. These are the kinds of items that don’t just decorate a space - they shape it. Placing one of these down often becomes the starting point for an entire build, setting a very specific tone rather than something you add at the end.

All twelve recipes can be unlocked through the Storybook Vale DLC, with each image above showing the exact materials required for that item.

At this stage of working through a crafting catalogue, I find it helpful to think less about completing everything at once, and more about crafting with intention. Some items will immediately stand out as “I know exactly where this goes,” while others might sit in your inventory until the right build comes along. That’s all part of the fun - crafting these items and placing them down in the game for the very first time, seeing how you want to use them.

Items like the Broken Teacup or Transportation Table might not feel essential at first, but they can become surprisingly useful when you’re filling in smaller details or adding personality to a space. The Broken Teacup looks especially nice mixed into underbrush, placed here and there along a path surrounded by shrubs and pebbles. Meanwhile, pieces like the Giant Leaf Chair or Dump Truck Armchair bring a playful, themed element that can help define a room or area instantly.

Build & Decorating Thoughts

While this set isn't designed to be used together (at least, not intentionally), it really shows a nice variety. It reflects how builds tend to evolve naturally - not everything comes from the same set, and not everything needs to match perfectly. Mixing themed items with more neutral or versatile pieces often creates the most interesting results.

For outdoor builds, the Garden Temple and Fountain of Thebes are strong anchors - and these two are my favourites from this set. They work beautifully in larger spaces where you want to create a focal point, especially when surrounded by paths, foliage, or layered dΓ©cor.

For interiors, items like Lilo’s Bunk Bed, the Medieval Wooden Chair, and the Princess and the Frog Chest help establish character and storytelling. These are the pieces that make a room feel lived-in rather than staged.

And then there are the more unexpected items - like the Halloween Town Clock or Dump Truck Armchair - which can either be used within their obvious themes or reworked into something completely different depending on how creative you want to get.

As this series of Storybook Vale crafting posts begins to wrap up, it’s been interesting to see how different items naturally fall into place - some becoming essentials, others waiting for the right moment to shine. This specific collection of twelve items is one I really enjoyed crafting, and I can’t wait to use more of them throughout my Valley.

If you’re working through the catalogue yourself, this collection offers a bit of everything to experiment with, whether you’re building themed areas or simply adding new details to existing spaces.

✨ More crafting entries are on the way as I continue working through the remaining Storybook Vale items here on Cozy Valley Journal. If you'd like to browse all my Storybook Vale crafting recipes, you can check them out here.
