✨ The Springtime Floating Festival event is out in Disney Dreamlight Valley, bringing a mix of puzzles, exploration, and seasonal rewards to the game. Running from April 29 to May 19, this event takes place on a special floating island accessed through the portal in the Plaza, transforming the area into a colorful spring-themed island filled with secrets, hidden clues, and puzzle challenges.
What I’ve personally enjoyed most about this event is how it feels like a true extension of the Valley through the use of a floating island, and I believe this is now the third themed floating island event added to the game so far, following the Halloween event last year and the Winter event earlier this year. I really appreciate that it creates an entirely new space to explore without interrupting daily life around the main Valley.
Completing each puzzle rewards you with exclusive seasonal items, including furniture and clothing inspired by the Wonderland-style or spring atmosphere of the event. Some puzzles can be completed fairly quickly, while others take a little more time as you navigate your way through areas and puzzle mechanics, with one puzzle in particular requiring four days to complete due to daily progression mechanics. Because of this, it’s definitely worth starting sooner rather than later before the festival disappears on May 19.
In this entry, I’ll walk through all six puzzles, including the rewards you'll unlock, some extra puzzle information, and links to my video guides if you’d prefer to follow along visually. You can also click on each image below to enlarge, revealing more information including steps on how to complete each puzzle.
The first puzzle introduces the rotating statues, found to the left of the floating island as soon as you enter. You'll come across a book beneath the gazebo containing a clue that helps solve the nearby statue puzzle. By interacting with the statues and matching the correct positions, you’ll unlock the reward before continuing deeper into the island’s hidden areas. It’s a fairly simple introduction puzzle, but a really nice way to ease into the event. Completing this puzzle rewards you with the Rearing Stallion Topiary, which is one of my favourite furniture rewards from the event, and one I can already see myself using across plenty of garden-style builds throughout the Valley.

Puzzle 2 focuses on locating and interacting with the broken bamboo fountain hidden within the floating island, which can be found in the Mulan-themed section of the event area. This puzzle leans more into gathering resources, encouraging you to pay attention to the layout of the island rather than rushing straight through it - though I have to admit, locating the Springy Bamboo wasn’t too difficult, especially since it spawns around the training camp area nearby. You'll find a maximum of three Springy Bamboo spawning at one time.
Gathering the Softwood and Hardwood required for this puzzle must be done back in the main Valley, as neither resource spawns on the floating island itself. Completing Puzzle 2 rewards you with the Bamboo Fountain furniture item, which I think works really nicely as a decorative filler piece across natural or outdoor themed builds.

Puzzle 3 is easily one of the most unique puzzles in the event. To begin, you'll first need to locate the red chest positioned toward the center of the floating island, which contains a memory clue to help progress through the puzzle. To complete the puzzle, you’ll need to feed the Capybara a correct flower based on a rotating daily schedule. Each successful feeding rewards one memory orb piece, with four total pieces required to complete the memory. Since you can only receive one memory orb piece per day, this puzzle takes four separate days to fully complete. To obtain the flower required, you'll need to collect this from the main Valley - as the required flower(s) do not spawn on the floating island.
Once the memory image is complete, you’ll then need to dig at the hidden location shown in the completed memory to claim the reward. I actually really liked this puzzle because it gave the event a slower pace for a few days instead of everything being completed immediately. Finishing Puzzle 3 rewards you with the Gardener's Apron - a nicely themed clothing piece, even if it’s probably not one I’ll personally end up using very often, if not at all.

Head to Alice’s Curious Labyrinth toward the back of the island to begin this puzzle, then use the arrow on the left to enter the maze area. I was pleasantly surprised that this puzzle actually takes place in a separate area outside of the floating island itself, which helped make the event feel larger than I originally expected.
The Labyrinth Puzzle shifts the focus towards navigation. This maze-style challenge requires you to make your way through the labyrinth and reach the end to claim your reward. Though slightly confusing at first, the items scattered throughout the maze helped guide me through the correct route - first passing the fountain, then the white flower, and finally the yellow/orange flower before reaching the exit. Once I understood the pathing, completing the maze wasn’t too difficult. Puzzle 4 rewards you with the Lily Pad Cymbal Frog furniture item, which can only be placed on water.

Puzzle 5 changes things up again with a quiz challenge based on details found throughout the Springtime Floating Festival event. This is probably one of the easiest puzzles to complete. To begin, speak to the yellow flower on the floating island to start the quiz challenge.
This puzzle requires you to answer all five questions correctly to unlock the reward: the Cheerful Garden Gnome. This ended up being my personal favourite reward from the entire event, mainly because I love smaller decorative items like this that can easily fit into builds across many different areas of the Valley. This puzzle was not too challenging - you can easily explore the island to find all the answers your need.

Return to Alice’s Curious Labyrinth toward the back of the island to begin the final puzzle offered during the event. This time, use the arrow on the right to enter the Escape Maze, which also takes place outside of the floating island itself.
Completing this puzzle is surprisingly straightforward, especially once you realize you’ve returned to the same maze layout seen in Puzzle 4. To finish the challenge, you’ll need to navigate through the maze while avoiding the Queen of Hearts’ guards and other obstacles. One helpful detail is that the maze layout mirrors Puzzle 4, but the path to the exit is essentially reversed, making it feel familiar while still changing the challenge slightly. Completing the final puzzle rewards you with the Wonderland Bird Umbrella, which honestly feels like the perfect final reward for the event. This reward is a clothing accessory that can be equipped through the Accessories tab inside your wardrobe.

✨ Overall, I think the Springtime Floating Festival has been one of the stronger limited-time events added to Dreamlight Valley recently. The mix of puzzle styles, gradual unlocks, themed rewards, and separate event areas helped the festival feel much more interactive than simply collecting materials or completing standard duties.
If you haven’t finished the event yet, there’s still time before it ends on May 19 - just make sure to complete all puzzles and claim every reward before the floating island disappears.
Thanks for reading along, and be sure to check out more guides across the blog for additional Dreamlight Valley tips, events, crafting guides, and cozy Valley inspiration. I'll see you in the next Cozy Valley Journal entry.
